Choosing quality IT products can be very frustrating. There are so many products to choose from and it’s almost impossible to separate the good from the bad. It helps to have an expert opinion from those who have tried and tested the products in live enviroments.
Headsets
Jabra Evolve 65 Wireless Headset
This is, by far, our favourite office headset.
Its lightweight design is perfect for those days when you have endless Teams/Zoom meetings, and you want to avoid going to lunch with pins and needles in your ears! The quality is decent and better for calls than music, but definitely holds its own as a multi-use device. The battery can go for days without a charge, even with constant use. The microphone has a noise cancelling feature, which means it doesn’t pick up much office chatter and background noise during calls. Worth every penny.
Logitech H390 Wired Headset
A great economical, wired alternative.
This is a really nice headset when economy is a factor and/or when wired is prefered. It’s connects via a USB A connection and has a decent length of cable with in-line controls. Mac and PC compatible with excellent sound quality for both music and Teams/Zoom calls.
Corsair VOID ELITE RGB Wireless Gaming Headset
A superb headset for the hardcore gamer.
Offering movie theatre quality Dolby 7.1 Surround Sound with a low latency 2.4GHz wireless capability with a 10m range. This is a really comfoirtable headset, despite its size and does an amazing job for gaming, music and office use. The noise cancelling qualities are perfect for blocking out background noise but we found that this is not ideal for an office environment, when one does need to intereact with colleagues. In that sense, they’re “too good!” A great piece of kit for gaming though and well worth the money.
