THE CONCEPT

Remson IT & Security Services is a Cardiff-based Managed Service Provider and Consultancy Company.

Established in December 2020 to deliver IT and Cyber Security advice and support to small and medium sized businesses, helping them develop secure and robust IT systems.

The idea is to add a level of maturity for businesses and organisations with growth aspirations so that they can demonstrate to new and existing clients that they are serious about cyber security and compliance.

The concept was born when approached by a Cardiff based SME with a self-built IT infrastructure, based on their own research.

To be fair, they did a pretty good job of it, but they were growing a lot faster than expected and decided get some advice to ensure that their IT system scalable and able to sustain further growth.

They also needed help in designing and building a network for their company’s new permanent home in a larger premises in Cardiff.

A consultation was arranged with them and we spent time discussing their current set up, their frustrations and we came up with a forward thinking plan.

The intention from the outset was to consolidate their hard work and research in developing their existing set up, rather than starting from scratch, suggesting ways of capitalising on technologies that they were already using.

We have since developed a range of first class managed service solutions including a cyber security and governance support service, where we support large and small organisations in maintaining excellent cyber security practices on a continual basis.

THE NAME

The name comes from one of our favourite films, Risky Business starring Tom Cruise as Joel Goodson, a teenager living in a wealthy Chicago suburb. A Future Enterpriser who has 48 hours to fix a very tricky situation.

We’ve always believed that protecting your digital assets doesn’t have to be boring—it’s about staying sharp, ahead of the game, and ready for anything. Named after the iconic street in Risky Business, where Joel Goodson turned chaos into opportunity, we channel that same energy into navigating the “risky business” of cyber security.

Just like Joel, we thrive under pressure, stepping into the unknown with confidence and clarity. In a world where threats are always evolving, Remson is here to make sure your business stays secure, no matter the stakes.
